Building the Foundation
By the end of 2015, the trio quit their day jobs to focus on Gogoalkits full time. In 2016, they introduced the Player Version range, featuring authentic fabrics, premium printing techniques, and the same attention to detail found in official kits — but at accessible pricing for football fans worldwide. They formed direct partnerships with carefully selected manufacturers in Europe and began implementing strict quality controls for fabric weight, stitching, fit, and durability.
During this period, the brand expanded its website to support multiple languages (English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian) and started shipping across Europe. Every order was still packed with care by the founders themselves.
Rapid Growth and Team Expansion
Sales exploded in 2017, reaching over 40,000 jerseys in a single year. For the first time, Gogoalkits turned a profit and began to earn recognition from football communities and YouTube kit reviewers, who praised the brand as a “best value” alternative.
The team grew from 3 to 18 people. A dedicated quality control lab and fulfillment center were established. In 2019, Gogoalkits launched its popular “Classic Retro” custom series, allowing fans to relive the golden eras of their clubs with accurate 1:1 replicas of 80s and 90s kits. By the end of this phase, the brand was successfully serving customers in over 20 European countries.

The COVID-19 pandemic could have been devastating, but it became a turning point. With stadiums closed, fans turned to Gogoalkits to keep their connection to the game alive. The team adapted quickly — turning the warehouse into a live streaming studio for kit unboxings and player reviews. Online sales surged by over 320%. New “Home Watching Kits” and limited-edition memorial jerseys helped fans feel closer to their clubs during difficult times.
This period also saw major improvements in supply chain flexibility, allowing popular new releases to be delivered within 48 hours of ordering.
